I'm getting no sleep at night, am finally able to sit normally (childbirth HURTS!), and am madly and deeply in love...again. Cade McCoy Jones made his debut May 4th just before noon. I was just telling Evan how awesome my experience was this time around. Colton took 17 hours from start to finish with an hour and a half of serious pushing. With Cade, I felt my 1st contraction at 8 am and only had to endure 10 minutes of pushing. So I guess that his head was not as big as we thought (yea!) and he weighed in a whole pound lighter. A pound makes a difference folks. Granted, we took him a week before he was due but well worth it in my book.
It is amazing to me how darn easily you love this little person. How easily you love him just as much as his older brother. I'm making the adjustment to 2 kids now. I'm trying to give Colton some extra love and attention since he always starts to misbehave RIGHT when I'm nursing. I'm surrounded by poop and pee and well, weiners. It's the truth people. But though I know that what I'm doing might
seem mundane, I wouldn't want to be anywhere else but with my boys.

So glad about the name not being Calis...and Ian did the same thing about getting in trouble with I would start nursing...Good luck wiht that!

I've been waiting for this post and OHHH he is a cutie! I'm glad to hear the delivery went good, and I love his name. I think you guys made a great compromise! I hope you are adjusting well to two kiddos, believe me it gets easier! I want to bring you dinner now that your mom is gone. I'll call you.

You are such a good mama! Love the first shot of you & Cade, pure infatuation is all over your face! You're awesome! And givign Colt that extra attention will pay off, he's a smart cookie he knows when that boob is out you can't catch him, its ok, don't be too hard on either of y'all! :)

yea for your updates! And pictures, oh I am the luckiest aunt in the world! I have the CUTEST nephews! And that pic of Colt, the only one I haven't seen where he's a snuggle bug in his car seat...He's edible for sure. In a way I'm glad I'm solo-ing it to Lake Powell because I can't wait to spend some one-on-one time with Cade.
Oh and the wieners part...that made me laugh at loud!

How adorable! Adam's in our ward now. I love the compromise idea. Meg and I were prego and lost it, I told her if it was a boy I wanted Boone. We compromised and then miscarried. She tells me that I lost my chance to have a Boone in the family. I love that name though! Hope all is well for y'all. With the miscarriage we also learned no kids will be in our near future, so what do you do right? Good to hear from you (sort of).
Oh what a cutie! A mommy's life is never mundane, atleast not to other mommy's. So you shouldn't apologize for it. Russ was glad to be able to see Evan at Grandma Jones funeral. I hope you did okay without Evan so soon after having your baby!

You look so happy and your baby is just beautiful! The adjustment to 2 can be overwhelming at times, but luckily, before long, Colton wont even remember the days when it was just him. I love the name Cade! Congratulations!
