Helping my Dad

We're in the middle of the never ending project of landscaping our backyard. When Evan went out on Saturday to put rock in the yard, Colton wasn't far behind. Here he is showing his dad how it's really done with the shovel.

You gotta love this tongue sticking out in concentration - aka Michael Jordan style.

"Here Dad, do it this way - it's much faster..."

And tell me, who's not in love with this picture? Okay, so I'm the mom and I'm little biased...Thanks for the wheelbarrow Nana!

Colton is such a little man now! And, he looks more and more like his dad. I love these classic Father-Son moment pictures. I'm so jealous of your grass. If only we could grow grass that thick and green here! GREAT job on the landscaping!!!

This are the cutest pictures! A dad and his boy, hard at work! Years and years ago there was a similar one of Evan with Max when Evan was working on their backyard. He would wiggle the wheelbarrow to get all the stuff out & Max would do the same. It's so wise of our Heavenly Father to have humans start out as babies. They have such tender spirits that want so badly to please. This, and their huge love for their parents, makes them so teachable. (You're probably thinking, well, he certainly ignores me when it comes time to do somethig he doesn't want to do. Yep, there's that. They still listen better as babies though than they do as teenagers.) Miss all three of you. The mini-vacation was too short!! Love your family!! It's a beautiful thing.

Okay seriously here, it's October 29th, and a blog post is WAY overdue.

I probably should see Colt saying my name on video...that should hold me over until Thanksgiving...ahh, 3 1/2 weeks away!!
