Good Times

In keeping with tradition, I'm back for my monthly post. Or more simply put, I finally remembered to bring my camera somewhere and what's more, actually take pictures. This past weekend we had our first Carleton "Girls Trip" (not so much a trip for me because everyone was so nice and came to Denver). In a nutshell, it was too much fun.
Evan left on Thursday to go meet up with his "bros" (his two best friends from Cali) in Moab and do manly things like not shower for days, mountain bike a million miles, etc. No doubt he was excited to avoid a houseful of some SERIOUS estrogen. We women kept it nice and girly. Lunch out, chick flicks (which included rewinding "the kiss"), shopping at the Outlets, pedicures, the local Farmer's Market, RS broadcast, and celebrating Heather's 19th birthday at yummy Maggiano's (pictured above). So fun to have so much time with these girls that I love.

And of course, Evan came back from his trip without a single picture for me to post. We're pathetic that way.

This little guy was the belle of the ball this weekend - for lack of better terms. I think he was held for almost every nap, which I will mention, I am paying the price for this week. And as for Colt, he's relearning the word "no."

If I wasn't baby hungry before, I am now. I'm going through withdrawals. Last night, no joke, I laid in bed and rewatched all the videos I took of Cade & Colt. If Cade doesn't look edible in this pic, I don't who does. Oh if only our kids would come out 1/2 as cute. I seriously have love in my heart for my nephews.

Speaking of not so cute: pics of me. Especially the group one. Can I get any less photogenic? But I'm glad you look great....haha. Will you send me the rest of your pics? I have nothing but us working out.......need I say more? ;). I'm missing CO bigtime today.

What a fun girls week. We're trying to plan one. It gets harder as time goes on and families grow. I love being able to watch RS broadcast with family members.

Oh, I want to reach through this computer and squeeze your little Cade! What a handsome guy. I totally know what you mean about retraining your kids after family leaves town. It's so fun to have everyone around, but we moms really do pay the price afterward!

You Carleton girls are so beautiful! Sounds like a fun weekend; thanks for posting pics.

So dang cute! Cade is so precious that I can barely stand it. It's like I'm itching to get my hands on him and kiss him to bits. (Yeah, like you want me slobbering all over your kiddo but you're probably use to that reaction because dang girl, you make stellar babies!!)
Can't wait to see him at Christmas--or maybe before?? Veterans Day anyone??
Also so glad to hear you are doing a girls' time. I love that with my gals and you Carleton ladies are so funny that I bet you get an ab workout from all the laughing. :) Much love to your fam!!
Take care, cj

Boy your little one is a cutey. That sounds like a fun time together. One thing is sure, with all the Carleton women together there's no way you had a dull moment.

Also lol, "Evan left on Thursday to go meet up with his "bros" ...and do manly things like not shower for days."

You're the best.

How fun for your family. I love girl trips. I just got back from one and it was a blast. Pretty ironic, because my husband went to Moab when I got back for some "man" time. Also, I fell in the love with the movie Becoming Jane. I think I watched the "kiss" over and over again -crying. I know!

Yeah for girl time! Your family looks so different from 10 years ago when I saw them last...can you believe it has been that long? Anyway, your kiddos are so adorable! My advice...stick with two for awhile...I don't know what I was thinking going for three so soon! But we love it!
